While I continued my work at OI I decided to search for opportunities in other sectors. I got an email about a volunteering opportunity at Ulster Museum. Something I was trying to get involved with for a long time because I love research and want to explore the archives at the Ulster Museum.
I had previously interviewed Charlotte McReynolds, the curator of Fashion as part of Belfast Design Week through the Fashion and Textile Society. I had also attended some of her curated exhibitions at Ulster Museum.
I got a chance to participate in an interview and was offered the volunteer position, which I was thrilled about. Since my first ever visit to a museum at the age of 7 I wanted to be a curator. And now I had the opportunity to work closely with the curator herself.
